Some of Jocelyne's stories and recipes

JOCELYNE is very special. A professional cook and a professional writer, born in France, very early emigrated to the UK, travelling all over the world, living in Spain now for half a life, lover of cats and flowers and good wine, hating anybody and anything pretentious and phoney and not mincing her words... Sometimes she throws in a very good recipe, mostly at the end of her articles. And don't miss Jocelyne's wonderful Mr. Bear Stories - great for reading to your children.

With Jocelyne's friendly permission VeoVeo publishes here some of her best stories:

Tee, hee, hee! Somehow you've managed to skewer most every cause dear to both the political left AND right! And then your own!

Delicious sarcasm! Perhaps if you'd taken up a collection pot to save the storks....

Very interesting article, much food for thought, although I will never get to be that "00" person!

All we need is another volcanic explosion such as Krakatoa in the late 1800s to illustrate just how puny is man's impact upon the weather. In the years following the eruption, Europe went without a summer and crops failed. Global average temperature, according to Wikipedia, fell 1.2 deg. C.

The question is not one of "if" another large volcanic eruption happens, only of "when", and my bets are that (a) it will be blamed on GW Bush, and (b) Al Gore and Greenpeace will then start touring the globe promoting SUVs and fossil fuels.

Jocelyne is right. Golf courses are an extravagance for the pleasure of very few.
