My Affection

These few simple lines in my picture remind me of the sentence that Saul Leiter once said:
To be an important person involves a great deal of effort. Quite often it’s not worth it.
I'm afraid he was right.

In other words: I like minimalism. Even (or rather: especially) when it gets personal.

Thin, delicate black lines cascade like long eyelashes or reeds in the wind, etched across a stark white void. Their fragility reads like a gesture — intimate, fleeting, and unresolved. The space is both full and empty, drawing the viewer into the subtle tension between expression and silence. My Affection captures that moment just before a touch, where longing is suspended in air.
