About my image:

A quietly self-referential and deeply human image — two figures, dark-coated and anonymous, stand before a luminous artwork that blazes with orange, red, and white floral forms against a vivid background of blue, green, and crimson. The figures are rendered in near-silhouette, their identities dissolved into the act of looking, becoming stand-ins for every viewer who has ever stood before a painting and felt something shift. The artwork within the artwork — bold, abstract, floral — glows with an intensity that makes the surrounding gallery space feel pale and hushed by comparison.
